No Date Sub vs Green Bezel Date Sub

I've owned several great Rolex watches over the years. Now I have two on a waiting list at my local dealer -- can seem to stop. As indicated in the subject line, I'm kinda divided. Don't know when I might be in line to actually purchase -- that said, which model is more desirable? I'm probably gonna pull the pin on the first one that is offered; however, I'd like to hear what you guys would prefer if given the choice for one over the other. Welcome thoughts.

You know, those are the last 2 that I'm on a list for. Both are great. I like the pop of color with the green bezel, but also like the simplicity of the no date.

too bad they don't make a green bezel no date, huh

No date sub as your first Green as your second.

I prefer the black dial Submariner, but having both would be great.

I own both. I went no date for my first Rolex.

but I find myself wearing the Green a lot more since black Subs are everywhere.

I have the green bezel sub, it’s unique and different. I like it more than a black bezel. Black sub is great for everyday, but my preference was to go with something a little more unique.

I have both but everytime I put on the ND sub it just feels right. Classic and timeless design. You need both is the short answer.

I love the LV bezel. I also prefer no dates. I can see your being conflicted. I’d just convince myself that the first one offered is the one that is meant to be.

I had the choice between the 2 back in the day... Ultimately I went with the 114060.

Both are great, but the Mark 2 bezel looks amazing. My LV is getting more wrist time than my Pepsi.

agree, i would take the MK2 over the no date but if it is the MK1 vs No date then i will go for the no date. hard to explain unless you see the three of them in person

I own the no date, so I have a bias here… :)
The Sub no date is simply perfect. Works any day anywhere. Feels and looks great. It is a little less attention seeking with a black bezel and no date cyclop. That is what I love about it.

The LV is beautiful too, though more flashy I guess. It depends if you want your watch to be noticed more I guess?

Also, green is nice, but I love blue. If there was a stainless steel blue bezel, I would go for it…
So depends what colours you prefer.

Just picked up my new Sub ND yesterday, and I must say it just looks and feels perfect! It’s going to get a lot of wrist time as well, and happy to have a watch in my collection too without the date function. Absolute classic.

Submariner ND for me. I like the LV's and have owned several over the years but always fall back to the classic.

Last year I had both and gave my no date sub to my son. Any day now I should be getting my new no date sub to replace it. I love them both but if I had to choose it would be the no date.

Personally, I like to be a bit different from 95% of the subs I see when I see them in the wild. For a Rolex Sub, I’d choose most any other iteration first before the standard black dial. Not that it isn’t a beautiful/iconic watch, I’d just prefer something other than what I see in the wild 95% of the time.
If I do have a black dial diver, I know…not that much difference, but the fully graduated bezel is enough for me, my choice would be… SD4K, SD43, or Deep Sea.

I can relate to this. That’s why I got myself a Bluesy and absolutely love it
