Can your AD order bezel inserts for 16710?

I’ve heard mixed from 2 different AD’s service department. One said yes, but gave a long timeline to get it. Another seemed to say the answer is no. Has anyone had recent success with this?

If not, can someone recommend a reputable secondary source for the inserts?

Nonsense.

You’ll be waiting for months and possibly have to surrender current bezel

FRAKIS in Rolex parts & accessories sales section.

Any AD will supply. If the ones you talk to won’t just move to the next, they are not hard to source.

Will they be a pain about how the watch originally came? Or do they not care as much as Rolex ?

My experience is they don’t care which color insert it came with.

An AD who orders a replacement is expected to do the work of replacing the insert. The color matters to the extent that it must be consistent with what colors were available to your reference.

In other words a Root Beer aluminum insert will not be offered for a SS GMT, nor a Pepsi for a TT GMT (just a couple of examples).

The AD watchmaker is expected to do the swap.

Will they swap black for Pepsi? It used to be yes. But now rsc is not doing those kinds of swaps apparently. I don’t mind letting the AD do it or letting them
Keep my old bezel…

@Bas may know.
I don't know about RSc.
Was only referring to AD.

They're easily sourced from some of the trusted sellers on this forum. I sourced one and went to my AD, who said they couldn't do it, but they did suggest an independent watchmaker in town who could. Easy.

Try the Rolex Service Center in NYC. If that doesn't work, send me a PM regarding the insert/color that you need. I have a few.
