Upgrade advice needed please.
I bought a rootbeer last year and just can't seem to bond with the rose gold. I think it's just a little too subtle for me.
... So I've decided to go full PM yellow gold instead. I'm thinking Full gold submariner (blue dial) Yellow daydate 40 (white roman, champagne or green) Or Yellow skydweller on jubilee (white or champagne) Going rose to yellow, what would you guys choose and why??? this is a good move, full PM > two tone all day any day.
I personally prefer rose gold over YG but that is 100% a personal decision so no wrong answer there. from the options you provided I personally would go with the Blue dial full gold sub, followed by the green dial gold day date. |

Out of your options, I'd do the DD.
What about the YG GMT? Same watch with yellow gold and a jubilee, seems like the obvious answer for you, no? |

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. The reason im not considering a GMT is because it is only available with a black dial and I'm not a fan of black dials on gold watches. For reference. I also have an Exp2 polar, SS Daytona and a TT blue sub. I Wouldn't mind having both a full gold and a TT blue sub together but for variety I'm mostly leaning toward the DD and the Skydweller. Yellow gold SkyDweller on jubilee is the least subtle of the three you mentioned, IMHO, if that's what you are looking for.
For me, I would go for a 36 mm DD with white dial or champagne dial (with deconstructed Romans, not batons), or maybe a full YG Submariner Date with black dial (I prefer the blue dial on the TT version). Good luck with your choice! |

Go to the website and look at all the gold options. Solid gold GMT comes to mind. The newest color way with black and grey bezel, in solid gold, with Jubilee bracelet looks stunning!

Seeing as what you had purchased, I would think this would satisfy your YG fantasy. It did for me! The blue dial may be a little more loud, so I went with the black dial. Nothing like yellow gold.

Gorgeous watch! As much as I’d like to recommend a Day Date etc. as you already went with a GMT, that suggests you like a professional style watch, so I’d recommend one in gold. If you had a SS or TT DJ, I’d be recommending a YG DD. |

Day-Date. The green dial looks amazing but white will go with anything

If you want a yellow gold Rolex that stands out, I’d buy the Day Date with baguettes

Ok. Skydweller and Sub are out.
DD 40 it is as a 36 is lost on my wrist. Green ombre Or White roman Or Champagne (stick, roman or baguette) ??? Sent from my SM-S918B using Tapatalk |

If you go with DD40 then green ombre out of these without question second choice should be black baguette dial

Green ombre. And baguettes if you end up choosing a different colour.

I know you said the Sub is out but I have the new reference 126618LB and it's amazing watch I think you should try one on funny enough I'm selling mine because I don't like yellow gold and prefer rose gold instead so we're in the exact opposite shoes

It’d be DD40 for me. I’ve owned the green dd40 (not ombre), it is fantastic! Can’t really think of a YG dd that’d be a wrong choice.

The DD white dial is my favorite DD configuration. Same for the Sub. Yellow gold blue dial. Not a fan of the GMT. If you’re looking for a little ‘pop’ go the Sub.

If you're looking for something that stands out more and reflects that full yellow gold vibe, I'd lean towards the Full Gold Submariner or the Yellow Day-Date. Both are iconic pieces that really showcase the beauty of yellow gold.

Both are great. I love my White Roman DD and blue dialed YG Sub. If you can, get both.

What I considered the flagship of the Rolex lineup is the day date so if I were to go yellow gold it would be a day date of some sort.If you go with a solid precious metal yellow gold three link oyster bracelet with a high poly center link you just have more surface for scratches to appear on and they would look more obvious on that larger high polish surface than they would on the smaller High poly surface of the day date bracelet they're going to happen but I would rather not see them if possible.

DD40, and please look at and consider the silver sunburst dial with deconstructed roman markers. My wife's watch, and I think it is one of the best configurations.

Get the new YG Deepsea blue dial if you want a statement piece.
If 44mm is a little too big for your liking I’m a big fan of the YG green dial GMT from a few years back. Let us know what you pick!
