New DJ36 Owner - Question re: Unscrewing Case
Hi all,
I recently purchased a new DJ36 (obligatory photo below) from an AD, and have a question regarding the case and the 3235 movement. Specifically, when unscrewing the case / twisting the crown counter-clockwise, I've noticed a slight clicking sound. Is this normal? Other than this minor quibble, I absolutely love the watch and couldn't be happier with the smooth/jubilee/blue dial combo. Thanks in advance. |

Yes, the clicking you hear is normal and has been present on all of my 32XX watches.

my new date just does it too, strangely my 2023 submariner date does not make this clicking noise when unscrewing the crown

might be the crown's mechanism engaging or disengaging.

Congrats on the new DJ36, especially with that smooth bezel and blue dial killer combo! As for the slight clicking when unscrewing the crown, that’s totally normal. It's just the crown releasing from the case threads as you unscrew it, so no worries there. Enjoy the watch, it’s a timeless piece!
