RO City of Sails vs. ROO Alinghi Polaris
Hi,
Long time ago I fell in love with Royal Oak Chrono City of Sails. Had an opportunity to buy an Offshore Alinghi Polaris which seemed like the younger but bigger brother to the COS. I never really wore the Offshore Polaris much. Found it to be too big and uncomfortable to wear casually and too casual to wear dressy. Sold it to buy a Root Beer. I've come back to considering the purchase of a RO City of Sails. Am I going to have the same "wrist comfort" and "wearability" issues as I did with the Offshore? I'm usually most comfortable in a Rolex GMT, Daytona or Speedmaster. I don't want to make the same mistake again. But I'm also slightly concerned with a 39.5mm it might wear too small. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

It wears like a Daytona for sure possibly a little larger. I think I have a side by side of my 41mm 15400ST RO, but can get some good photos of it next to the Daytona and a GMT for you in a few days. It wears nothing like a ROO the case thickness of the ROO is a huge difference in thickness. Unfortunately I’m in tampa Florida and we have no power at our house so I’m in a hotel in Orlando Let me see what I have on my phone. |

On a bracelet it’s a total game changer. Honestly it takes it from a 20K watch to a 30-40k watch in the feel and look. This is the bracelet from my 15400 but you can get an after market bracelet for like $500 usd. |
