Inherited 1980 Oyster Perpetual

I inherited my stepfathers Rolex and do not have any idea of it's value or even the model characteristics. I would greatly appreciate anyone's comments regarding the watch. I've attached a few pics. Also, I have the receipt of purchase, January 1980 and purchased in Tel Aviv. Thanks to all who respond. Chuck

Rolex Date model 34mm. Band looks a little stretched and would need a polish, both otherwise a pretty cool set. Value would be somewhere between $1200-1500 USD

i'd think it's worth 1500-2000 now. I had the chance to buy one for 1400 2 months ago, no b&p though.
