5164g Questions

Hi all, I may have the ability to purchase a 5164G down the line. Curious if anyone has experience with this and the 5968a. I own (and love) the 5968a. I have a large(ish) wrist of 7.6 or so, but the watch still wears a touch large. I do enjoy the chronograph function. That being said, I’ve been drawn to the 5164 design, particularly the steel version, but the 5164g appears incredible. I have not yet seen one in person. Any helpful observations from those who have seen both?

Both can exist together in a collection.
The blue I would say is unique having seen it, but suspect the main reason they released this colour was due to the fact that the 5650G was already released... Patek did not want to pissed off their AR customers. The 5168 and 5968 all had the same blue/green combination for the WG variants, and the same colour for the RG version as well.
Good weight on the wrist, less wild than the 5968a. Waiting for one as well from my side but no clue when it will come. Do not think this is an either or scenario if the opportunity exist to own both.

Ya I’d buy either of them or both if you can. I have a 5164r and 5968a and love them both equally. Really couldn’t pick a favorite- both sizes are great.

My friend has the 64g, here’s a side by side w the r. I prefer the r on the 64 but for a daily the g would be really perfect.

I'm with you here. The G is amazing but the warmth of the rose gold with the brown-black dial is mesmarizing. Really something special. To much for everyday use for many perhaps but so gorgeous!
