Would you daily?

Hi all,
First off…Happy Thanksgiving. Secondly, as my nascent Rolex collection grows, I’m trying to be more strategic in how/when/where I rotate and wear them. Specifically, my Bluesy… I’ve been wearing my JCDS as a daily/weekends/etc. (more casual) lately and have been wearing my Bluesy on special occasions, important meetings at work. Does that synch with how most people view these watches?

Appreciate your input!

I don’t have a Bluesy, but it would be a daily type of watch for me if I did. At the very least, it would be in a frequent rotation with my other watches.

I have been wearing my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore titanium chrono for a month or more non-stop. I mean in the shower, the pool, cutting the lawn, painting the house, auto mechanic work, gardening, you name it. Oh, and also to the office, to dinner to hobby areas. Will it eventually accumulate scratches - you bet. But if you can't use it what good is it?

I work in a very blue collar environment and this fact was limiting my daily watches to Black Sub and White Face Speedy not to stand out that much. However lately when I acquired Pepsi, I switched my habits and wear it to work too.

PM Daytona is still weekends only tho :)

I have a DJ41 TT, and an SD4k and a Bluesy. My bluesy gets the most wrist time.

I want a 126613LB. That will likely be my next watch. I’m retired now, but I’d wear that to the office on a regular basis if I were still working.

Also, I feel like I could wear almost any of my watches in just about any situation. Only exception is my 42mm Seamaster. That tends to be my more casual watch.

In similar fashion, I used to daily a James Cameron as well and weekends/nights would be a TT Skydweller.

Do what works for you!

Good for you! I have the same watch and wear that thing everywhere as well. Pretty darn sturdy and one of the few watches I’ll actually get compliments on.

I have a bluesey, sub, hulk, and a daytona. Wear em all on a 2 week at a time rotation before starting over again.

I have a Bluesy and DJII fluted bezel white dial. The DJ gets most wrist time as I feel it fits my blue collar job more and doesn’t stand out as much as my Bluesy. I wear my Bluesy more in the summer and special occasions.

Wear what you want, when you want.

Now, rmlovett1, you bring up a great point…so, which would be a good addition? Do I need something more formal? A day-date, DJ, explorer?

Thanks again!

Hi rm,
I’m thinking of adding…probably after the holidays since I just bought the JCSD. Is there a “best time” to buy relative to pricing?
Thanks!

I’d be adding a DD40 if it were me personally adding to a 2 diver collection. It covers dressy or casual IMO. I’d certainly think after Xmas but before end of month is a better time to buy vs now.

Wore & enjoyed mine for 20 years as a daily. I learned it’s just a watch… worthless if it sits in a box.

I would wear them in a rotation. Not as many people pay attention to our watches as we do.
