Best neo vintage Rolex to go for?

Hi All

I have an itch for adding a pre-ceramic neo vintage sports model to my collection.

I’m thinking 2005-2008 models as I want something as mint and crisp as possible and these three models come to mind.

Coke
Kermit
Serti dial two tone submariner w diamond and sapphires on dial.

If you were adding your first neo vintage pre-ceramic to the collection which of these 3 are the best in terms of collectibility, rarity, long term value and other reasonings?

Would love collectors insights here.

I'm very happy with my 14060M. Just checking whether you considered it!

Get the GMT. You can switch out the bezel and get other retro looks.

Pre ceramic bluesy, the way in which the bezel is sunburst along with the dial is never really spoken of and is the only watch that doesn’t improve with ceramic (in my opinion)

Luckily not in great demand either as I’m currently in the market for one.

16710. One of the most versatile pieces Rolex ever made IMO.

…between those dates I bought the 16610lv, 16600, 16710 and 14060m. can’t go wrong with any of those references.

Any 5 digit professional reference would be a great choice.
Silver Serti Sub with blue bezel I would love to own!

16710 Coke was my first so I'm a bit biased.
Still probably my favorite 5 digit reference.

Kermit - 5 digit case and maxi dial and hands - the best of both worlds - but then again I'm biased.

Also, this thread needs pictures

Agree w/ the above 16710 comments. With one exception, I'd go a bit earlier to grab the SEL/ w/ lug hole version. Makes the bracelet/ strap changes a breeze. Collect all three available inserts and you have the best of Rolex vintage & modern.

I agree, get the oyster bracelet as well and you have 6 different watch variations with one watch. The SEL with lug holes are the series A, P, K, Y of the 16710 model. I am on the lookout for one myself.

Take your pick - 14060M/ 16710 with choice of bezels/ 16570 polar - sometimes I wonder if I should just swap my “new-ish” watches for these and stop there. I think I’d be quite happy with this box of three. So, from the options you list - the 16710.

Out of the ones on your list, I would choose the Coke. No investment or rarity reasons fueling my choice. I just simply love that model! It's actually on my want list of watches I hope to acquire eventually.

Much higher up on my personal list though, would be a 16713 Root Beer on Jubilee. I REALLY love that watch!

16710. I’m looking for one myself. I have a 16610 that I bought new in 2006 and wear almost every day to work. My favourite watch to wear daily.
