Hi Everyone. This is my first posting. I'm the owner of FindAWatch.com (FAW for short in this posting). I'm also AMorris9999 on Ebay. I'm not sure if this thread is pointing out another individual stealing my photos or if someone is mistakingly claiming that my user ID AMorris9999 is using third party photos from FAW. Again, I'm the owner of both FAW AND AMorris9999. If you have any doubts about this simply email me directly through my website and ask me if AMorris9999 is my Ebay user ID just so that you can confirm.

Based on postings in this thread about a listing claiming that a sub with holes is from 2008 that tells me that you are pointing out other individuals using my photos because I would not make claims like that in my listings. But if I were an individual stumbling onto this thread I would perceive this as though you all were claiming that MY Ebay acct was stealing photos from FAW when we are one in the same.

So once again to be clear, if you see the FAW watermarks in Ebay listings from AMorris9999 that is OK. If you see them used by any other user ID other than AMorris9999 please report it to Ebay and/or email me through one of my Ebay listings or directly through FAW to let me know so that I can report the user to Ebay. I would appreciate it! This all would have been perfectly clear if I were able to change my user ID on Ebay to FindAWatch but someone in the UK has that ID. Even though he doesn't use it for anything he won't let go of it.

For those of you that have been interested in any of the watches on my website, sorry that I haven't updated it in quite a while. I've been focusing on my Ebay listings since they seem to drive more traffic. This will explain why I will have many watches listed on Ebay that are not listed on my website.

P.S. I just noticed the little camera icon in the bottom right corner of the photo at the top of this posting. That confirms that the photo was stolen from me and the forums member did not get it from MY Ebay listing. When I post photos on Ebay with my AMorris9999 Ebay account the photos are self-hosted and posted directly in the body of the listing as opposed to Ebay's picture services, so there will never be a camera icon in my photos.

Hi FindAWatch,

Yes, this thread was focused on the seller rmcdavidamy who stole your watermarked photos.

Thanks for pointing out that AMorris9999 is also you.

Any discounts on watches for RolexForums members?

Hi Onkyo,

Whewww!!! Great to hear that. And even though you were kidding, I'll be happy to give members a discount if I can post a listing for a watch in the sales corner HERE instead of on "FeeBay." Due to stiff competition lately including having to compete against sellers that are selling tons of "Frankenwatches" online my margins are tight. But if I don't have to pay FeeBay that does free up some room to discount!

Best Regards,
Adam

Hi FAW, Welcome to TRF, great to see you here.

We come across the stolen photo scenario all the time as you can see with other threads here in the watchout section, on your own personal listing you have a connecting link to FAW, so there was never any suspicion there and your feedback is exemplary. as for the other seller that can't keep his grubby hand off other peoples photos, if I had $5.... you know the rest :-)

In most cases I usually contact the owner of the photos, the last month or two its been the old limits of time :-)

Again a big welcome to our little corner of the web, stick around and have a read, I think you'll like it here

Enjoy,

Dave.

Thanks on all points, Dave. And I appreciate the welcome!!! I've been in the biz for 10 years and I don't know why it's taken me so long to participate. It's nice to be able to chat with fellow enthusiasts!

I used to spin my wheels contantly reporting stolen photos, fake watches, and other scams to Ebay and getting Ebay to do something about it was hit or miss. I haven't seen as many stolen photos lately as I used to so I guess that's a good sign. It used to be that almost every other listing seemed to be a scam and/or stolen photos.

Thanks for keeping an eye out!!!

Best Regards,
Adam

I hope this is an OK way to start my first post.

Digging up this thread because I see this watch listed by amorris9999.

Are there Rolex's that don't have the "superlative chronometer" wording on them?
