In Response to James

James,
Still trying to figure out how to send attachments in response to your PM. Anyway here are the pics requested.
Regarding the AP. It's just another of their limited editions that use the in-house movement. Solid watch in every way. I like it and wear it often in casual attire. As to your query as to how I like it compared to others let me keep the discussion to chronos. It's my second ROO. The first was on a bracelet and I found it a bit less comfortable than a Daytona (since sold) and much less comfortable than my VC OS that just has an awesome bracelet. This strapped ROO is VERY comfortable. I like date functions on my chronos. I think AP and VC are two classic examples of how it can be incorporated without ruining the aesthetics. Of course, all three of the chronos are great watches, I just opted to trim down to just the VC OS until I saw the Montauk and bought it primarily because I thought that it looked like the ideal summer watch.
Good luck with your Lange One MP. You're going to like it.

Hey Cody,
You mean MY top four? A little like ranking kids I guess and it changes, but right now:

1. Lange One MP

2. AP ROO

3. YG Blusey

4. TT GMT-IIC

The ROO displaces the VC OS since it's fairly new. I suspect this winter they'll swap places, both solid watches and the VC is thinner and easier to wear with long sleeves.

right on - you've got some nice pieces. the montauk highway has to be my favorite roo - the colours really work for me on that one.

Fantastic, Matt! That L1 MP gets me every time. Hope you're enjoying the Montauk. I had the chance to play with it again recently.

Hi Howard,
Looks good on you. BUY IT!!! Just kidding, you already have so many nice pieces.

I really like the Montauk. I posted this observation elsewhere, but I like the fact that the chrono mechanism keeps all the sub-dials in constant motion. Small point, but I like seeing the min. dial slowly move between the markers rather than "click" over as the sweep second hand hits 12. I can't remember if the older JLC based ROOs did the same thing. I'm sure you can enlighten us on that.

I also still like the look of the watch. Of course, everyone has their own assessment of what looks good, but I just loved wearing it around this in the warm weather the last couple of months. Ideal watch of the summer.

Thanks for posting the pics.

It's such a beautiful watch, Matt. I saw it today again at the NYC Boutique with the brown rubber strap. Looked great!

P.S.--My wish list is full of nice pieces, but the real collection is looking pretty downtrodden these days.

And good to see you. Wondered where you've been hiding. Thought maybe a sea monster got you during one of your dive sessions? How's the JLC Polaris tribute wearing on you these days?

The Polaris.... yeah, it's in the box somewhere...LOL

take 'em out to wind once in a while...

i been moving around so much these days, the sub's been a constant companion.

i just recently got back from Sumatra after some relief work in aid of earthquake victims... shoulda brought the ExpyII in hindsight, but I only had 8 hours notice to deployment...

and hey Howard! how hang's it?

and i'm gasping over that Montauk thing.... and not in a good way...

why?
why?
why?

c'mon over to the tropics boys, a few days in the sun and on the beach would do y'all good!!

Hope all is well with you!
