Phobias anyone?

I'll go first... I am known as: "Latrophobic" Anyone know what that is? A fear of Doctors. I'm scared to death (pardon the pun) of going to the Doctors. I'm in good health, but whenever I go my blood pressure goes so high they want to CODE me, I'm bouncing off the walls with fear (My record is 170 ove 120!, normally around 130 over 80). I've flown combat missions, I've seen the effects of war on humans (dead bodies) and been in my fair share of scrapes, I'm not a hero and FAR from brave, but I'd rather go back to Iraq then pay a visit to my local Doctor's office.

Irrational? Yep, and I've tried my whole life to get over this... to no avail. I have no excuse and am normally a practical person... but... a visit to the Doctors office sets me off like panicked animal.... I'm open for suggestions by the way.

But.. enough of me... anyone else have phobias?

Take deep breaths while there and visualize a peaceful beach with gently flowing waves rolling, and rolling, and rolling...

I feel at ease at 30,000 feet with only a little metal sheet protecting me from falling to my death, but those little harmless bugs scare me to pieces.

Insect phobia
any insect freaks me out..
even a moth or a big ant..

I forgot to add, one time I stayed a night in a hotel across the street because there was a 5cm flying cockroach in my house... and paid my friend to kill it the next day..

My poor dentist!

The dentist's office, even when the dentist is not there!

I fear someone working on my teeth.

Oh, and hypodermic needles jabbing into my gums.

Oh, and those little high rev drills that drill into my teeth.

Oh, and the smell of the office!

Oh, and the smell the of drilling of my teeth.

I do security work for lots of dentists.

My old friend, a dentist, told me, "Be true to your teeth or they will be false to you."

I need to work up the courage to call HIM for an appointment, so he can get some of his money back!

I haven't been diagnosed with anything officially but since I quit drinking 3 years ago I always have a low level of anxiety going and sometimes under the right circumstances it elevates to an insane level. I have called 911 on myself once or twice (LOL) and my blood pressure was sky high when they got there. I have since gotten a bit better but I still just don't feel whole for some reason. I think my greatest phobia is health issues. I always think the worst.
