Greetings - new and already hunting!
Hello Everyone:
New to TRF and just posted about whether I could swap a Coke bezel for a regular Sub bezel on a GMT Master II 16710 (answer was no - good to know). Now looking to buy my first Rolex...Can't wait to find it! Watch collecting background: started looking at Rolexes a long time ago when I didn't have two nickels to rub together. Started with vintage Omegas then progressed to military watches, especially Sinn and Marathon. Really was enjoying those. Recently have had a heavy travel schedule that took me across many time zones so started to think beyond what I had. Got hooked on the old 5517 milsubs but so inaccessible and not sure I'd actually want to wear something that expensive on my wrist. So after two decades, circled back to the idea of a GMT...specifically the GMT Master II 16710 Coke with a 93150 bracelet. Now looking for one to wear that is in NM condition or so...not looking to store this one in the safe but still would like box and papers. Checking out the sales section now and then. Wondering what I should do to look out for fakes or mismatched 16710s...any help is much appreciated. Anyways - good to finally join TRF! Good day everyone! Ken |

Thanks everyone for the welcome!
I did just what you guys suggested - I purchased a 16710 Coke from a TRF member! Will be travelling to Seattle to pick it up in December. Glad to be part of the club (finally). Best regards, Ken |
