It was first seen on some of the Oyster line around 2001-2002 but the coronet was not on all models until about 2003.

Rolex had gradually introduced the coronet engraved on the crystal throughout their line of models and did not introduce it to every model all at once.

The daytona was first to have it in the late 90's, but as posted above it was integrated into mist of the lineup by 2003

Should typically be perfectly aligned over the hour marker at 6. I find it easier to catch it at an angle rather than dead on.

I will say the first laser coronet was at the SS/Plat YM in 1999.

About the green Milgauss so is there a problem where the crystal is more fragile than a regular.
So Rolex didn't get it to work at the green one because the dots are "drilled" at the crystal in
different deeps and the crystal will crack if they put on the logo.

Here is how the orginal logo looks.

And here is the replacement logo with the "S" that stands for Rolex Service Division
and shows that is not the crystal that was on the watch from the start.

I hope it helps.

Jocke

+1 for what Jocke said. My 168000 went for its' first and only service in 1999(or 2000...have to double-check the paperwork) and its got the etched service replacement.
