Someone posted the Africa video on a forum about 7/8 years ago and I was a fan ever since.. Seen him in NYC twice and went to Maryland last month to see him.. Such a humble super nice guy too..

Thanks for starting this thread and the contributions by many. Reconnects some long forgotten strings to the past.

Just my 2¢...

The metal cover lacks a little of the spirit - it could be better if they had arranged it grungey and laid it as Kurt Cobain could - can’t say GOAT cover of Africa.

Massé at the pizza joint is faithful to the spirit - and he’s done it another way over the years. Not fresh like the live cut in the YT shown, but instead mixed differently with more umber burnished tone in mid-to-lower registers.

I’m unsure either trumps the original, though.

If someone mines a total rearrangement of Toto’s electronic Pop style it could be something special.

Just spent an hour over lunch introducing the family to the Massey/Hall duo.
5 new fans! All the covers are as good as the originals. I like his cover of "Vincent" better than the original. I love the 'light touch' these guys have on the material.
