I don’t like what they are doing because of the “shortage”, but I understand it. They’re in business to make money. So, if you don’t like what they do, spend your money elsewhere.

I called Rolex's New York office this morning- the information I provided was forwarded to a territory sales manager for my region in the U.S. I was also told to email their client relations group with all of the digitial proof of these watches being flipped by the child of the owner, who also happens to be an employee of the AD in question. They thanked me for bringing this case to their attention.

The person I talked to at Rolex was very polite and said this is absolutely not what the brand wants to be happening but sadly it is taking place across the world at the moment. She also described the situation that corporate is in and it sounds like it has gotten completely out of control for them- because of the current AD's unwillingness to cooperate with Rolex corporate policies and run shady operations like what I've seen locally, she said it was likely we will see a more dramatic shift towards the brand opening more boutiques with larger shipments to these boutiques, and shutting down small time local dealers that don't follow the rules. It is unfortunate that a few rotten apples are spoiling the bunch, so to speak.

If only there was a solution to the shortage that those nice people at Rolex could undertake.

Quite simple actually.........Because they are one of limited few representing a brand and violating that brand’s rules set for sale of their product.
I don’t understand how so many don't understand that.
