Icon5 Would you buy a Rolex bronze model if offered?l

It seems every watch manufacturer has a bronze model these days with a preponderance of diver editions.

Tudor offers the BB in bronze so it bodes the question, will the mothership follow suit?

If they do, the obvious choice would be to have it as a Submariner or a Sea Dweller.

I don’t currently have a bronze watch in my collection but have consider acquiring one.

If they did, would you buy it?

Bronze metal just doesn’t have quite the same appeal to me

I'd consider it - really depends on the model and configuration.

If that is what I liked-Yes. Do not care one bit what anyone else thinks. I am wearing it.

Is the metal on other makers' watches actually bronze or SS plated in bronze?

It’s really an academic question since I’d stake my life on the fact that Rolex would never do it anyway since bronze has absolutely no advantage over 904L steel that there’d be any need for it, and in any case that’s exactly what Tudor is for.

Possibly a DSSD, where the material choice makes some sense. But I actually don’t like this trend of bronze

I love bronze watches, the Panerai ones are their most coveted models. As long as they use CUSN8 alloy, that’s the one with the wild patina. Tudor’s aluminum bronze just gets darker.

No, all bronze models I have seen are on straps and I am a bracelet guy. Oris is the only mfg with bronze two ton on a bracelet. I do not know if I like it so not in my collection. I doubt Rolex would do a bronze much less on a bracelet.

well i earn my life sellİng bronze castings. Militari, naval, aerospace and heavy machinery all rely on bronze.
İf rolex will make a bronze case i will give the material for free.
A aluminum bronze espacilly forged brınze casting submariner will be huge success.
İ will pay 25000 usd right away :)

Absolutely not.
There are already a few very cool bronze pieces out there. Bronze is not a metal for Rolex though, and it would be way out of character for them.
