HODINKEE Strap on BLNR

With the long awaited incoming of my 116500LN, and it having the same PCL bracelet as my GMT, I decided to do a winter change up.

HODINKEE Navy blue suede strap. Comfortable as can be. $140, if I recall (bought 2 years ago and never put it on until now.)

Cheers!

That's a chunky strap. Have you put anything on the case to prevent it from abrading the suede? Or is there just more clearance than it seems?

I wear my BLNR on a black croc strap. I find that a matching strap brings out the colours nicely.

Not a fan.

Nothing compares to the original strap.

By the way, (I can't tell, forgive my ignorance), is that a batman or a batgirl?

Looks like it's the original oyster BLNR. I don't see a crown between "Swiss" and "made," and the minute hand isn't quite reaching the markers.

Looks ok to me , but generally speaking I just don’t think a ceramic sub or GMT2 looks good on straps other than fitted rubber. When I’ve done the change , I’ve always switched back after a few days.

Not for me. I think a dive watch shouldn’t be on a leather strap. The original bracelet is my preference.

The BLNR is a GMT not a dive watch.

It looks ok but I am not a big fan. I prefer the oyster and better yet the jubilee look. But if you like it, that is all that matters!

As a side note... I have done many strap changes, but on my BLNR.. I would be too chicken.

It’s the original BLNR / Batman. My wife hated the look of the jubilee BLNR when I tried it on. I push my luck enough with watches that I have to give in if she hates something

It’s got enough clearance, and if it doesn’t last then it’s not a big loss.

I have too, as this is the first strap change I’ve done on it in the 2+ years with it, but it’s really comfortable! I like the look for now.

i think that combo looks really nice -- better than a rubber (e.g., rubber b) alternative for that particular watch.

Looks as good as it gets. Unfortunately maxi case looks terrible with straps (all I have tried and seen). Oyster is really only option on those lugs IMO.
