Would this bother you, ding on the new blro

Don't know how it happened and it's not huge, but it bugs me... Ding on the bezel at 22, not the insert but outer ring.

It's hard to see the ding - the first picture looks like you took it with a toaster...
To answer the question... any readily identifiable ding/scratch would annoy me at first. Then after I put another couple on there... each I would care less about. Till you have enough you don't care at all!

It also depends if this is a true daily wearer or something you want to keep pristine?

It wouldn’t bother me if I did it myself.

It would bother me if that’s how I got it from the AD...

When I first see it, the sudden change from pristine to not so pristine will have me in a heightened awareness state for a moment. Then after a little time passes, not so pristine becomes the status quo and I move on. I am pretty sure it’s normal reaction to change....

Otherwise you are either a rock, or a liar.

If you made this post, it means it bothers *you*, and that's all that counts.

Take it to your nearest AD and see what they can, and at what cost, then make up your mind.

Considering the gigantic hit it will take in resale...

...wait, nope, it still wouldn't bother me.

Any ding would bug me. But it’s so small, I wouldn’t mess with it.

Burn it! You can never wear that piece again! Just kidding (obviously). There will be many more to come. The piece will only look better with more dings.

Yeah sorry for the poor pictures, thought I would throw this out to the masses for fun. I hate it when I do something like this to my own watch. Going to live with it, it's a character mark now. I hate dings more than scratches... oh well... love my watch.. :)

I had something like that on the JC DeepSea I purchased second hand, bothered me at first, but I got over it. Done worse to it myself now and don't think twice anymore.

No not really. If anything it is a mark that it is your own.

Idk why, but I like the wear and tear on things that comes with age.

Even shoes.

So I wouldn’t mind much.

Definitely would bother me at first, but eventually you just get over it and move one. I remember when I accidentally hit one of my new watches against brick corner while visiting my parents and was upset for a bit, but that's life. LOL. Now that imperfection adds character and story :)

I’d have to see clearer pics to know if it’d bother me. Things tend to bother me less though, if I make the marks myself, or I bought the watch with “character” on it already (ie...vintage)

Not really. You can bang it up some more and get a brand new bezel ring at the first service for a few hundred. Polished bezels are awful, leave it be.

It's not meant to be a museum piece. We're in real life. I don't buy watches to sell them later so I never care about blemishes. Makes it easier to identify it if it gets nabbed!

Plus, think about, how COOL would it be to have a Richard Mille all dinged up? You'd be a rockstar.

Nope. Not for a minute. It’s a tool watch. Every nick and ding will be part of your story.

It doesn’t just tell time...
