Explorer and Sub, switch between them regularly, no one has never said a word or mentioned anything about either watch while wearing it. The SA at the Omega AD talked about liking the Explorer but that only came up as I took it off to try on a Speedmaster.

Most people are so caught up in their own worlds that they miss quite a lot of the real world around them... let alone pay attention to someone else’s wrist.

Never had any of my own or borrowed Rolexes commented on/noticed. And I almost never wear long sleeves, so they are on display all the time. SD43, Black Sub, Hulk, Explorer II Polar, DateJust 41 - not one person has ever batted an eyelid.

The only watch that anyone has ever commented on is my Orange dial Seiko Samurai.

Yea

All the time. It’s weird, every time I walk into a watch dealer they always say how nice my watch is!

Strange because no one else comments

I holding the door open as I was waiting for a couple to come out of a Rolex AD that I was heading into. The gentleman said "thanks and nice AP". Made my day.

I had the dealer at a black jack table comment on my Polar EXPII. Other than that, only my jealous friends haha!

Depends on where, at hotel bars I’ve had a fair amount of guys at hotel bars most of whom were into timepieces as well and it let for many conversations and drinks

Despite that, not really

Constantly. I know steel sports are uncommon on women but perhaps they have an ulterior motive? Whatever, gives me ammo for when my husband is annoying me lol

No offense taken. I prefer my Rolex not be noticed and the Mk2 fits the bill. I bought it because I like it.

No one has ever noticed nor commented on any watch I have worn. To be fair I’m in long sleeves 95% of the time and my watch is always covered. When I am in tshirts it’s usually on a beach day, but I don’t tend to wear a watch to the beach or to play golf.

When I cross my arms, when my sleeves are rolled, or when I put my arms up on a table, my watch can shine (given good lighting conditions) I can see it attracts attention.

Very few people say anything though.

I had in person say: “Is that a Rolex”

And another one say: “oh I was thinking about buying a Rolex, but they are too expensive” (hinting at me)

Overall 3 or 4 remarks in the course of 2 years or so.

Basically never. My neighbor is a bit of a watch guy and asked me about it once when we were in the elevator, but he thought it was a Sub so I’m not sure if that counts. Other than that, my g/f likes it and jokingly tells me it’s the only reason she dates me. I think that’s about it.

I did comment on a former client’s watch when we first met. He was also wearing a GMT LN so I said, “Very cool watch, we have the same taste” and I showed him mine. He replied with something along the lines of, “Oh yeah, my wife got this f****** thing for my birthday or anniversary or something.” I couldn’t help but laugh, but that was also the last time I mentioned it. Cool guy, but not into watches I guess.

Not at all, ever.. sleeves are always rolled up in Louisiana, wear YG, but not a peep.

I am 100% fine with it

Almost never.

However, I have received several comments from Apple Store Geniuses on the Tudor Black Bay Red and Tudor GMT.

I sat next to a gentleman on a flight a couple of months ago who was wearing a SD43. I tried to strike up a conversation with him and commented on it and he could not have cared less. Just said “oh yeah my Burberry watch broke so I got this out of the drawer, haven’t worn it in over a year.” Then he put his headphones on and that was the end of that conversation haha!

Once in NYC waiting in line for a show. A guy said he likes my Hulk. It turned out he was wearing a Ceramic Pepsi.

I love my watches but dress quite casually (hoodies and jeans) and rarely have people notice my watch. I can maybe count on one hand the number of people who have commented.

Those who do say something, generally, are the ones I don't really want commenting on them (think retail sales people looking to make a sale, etc) and have instantly judged me based on 10 seconds of limited interaction...

When I picked up my DSSD at Mayor’s last Friday, there was a guy in there wearing a Kermit. First time I’d ever seen one in person. We chatted for a few minutes about it.

People notice. But only a select few will bother to tell you or make it obvious that they noticed.

Burberry watch? He’d wear that over the sd43? Maybe sd43 is fake.

they notice, they just don't say anything. So many times i've caught people looking at the watch. for example when shopping and going to sign a receipt or signature pad, when you look up, almost always they're looking at the watch because it's shiny and eye catching. some pieces (datejust/day-date) are instantly recognizable. They might not say anything but they notice it.

Also, the lazy salesman who stereotypes me because i look young, "oh he doesn't have any money to buy a rolex" and he just sits on his ass because he thinks i'm just "window shopping" but once he "notices" the rolex on my wrist, he certainly gets his fat ass up real fast to offer customer service. LOL!

people notice man...they just won't say anything, they'll just silently judge you for your pretentious lavish purchases of luxury watches. If you're fishing for comments....i think it's a waste of time/energy. Buy what u love, wear it, and forget everyone else.

One time in five years, and it was a quirky designed vintage watch.

yes! I was very taken back when he said he wore that over the SD43. Different strokes for different folks I guess! From what I could tell just by first look it was real. Or else a really good fake.

I usually wear short sleeve and my current daily wear is a WG DD40. I have the feeling that nobody cares about it, except watch dealers and a few very close friends that like watches, I am very happy about it.

Had my explorer for two years and 4 people noticed it and admired it in that time. Got a 114060 and four people asked me about it in the first day!
