For me it's all about proportions. it varies from watch model to watch model. There is no Golden Ratio for cases/dials/bezels. But I know it when I see it.

I thnk Milgauss too SLIM ... it already has the largest dial in the Rolex catalog .. excpet maybe the SkyDweller ..

I did the same thing. Traded back into the DJll as I prefer the size. It’s amazing. I have the explorer ll polar 40mm and it looks tiny compared to my DJll.

FWIW, I would love to see what a DJ41 would look like with a slightly larger dial and a fluted bezel the same thickness as, say, a 1601 DJ's bezel. I think it would likely look very sharp, but since it isn't yet made, it's somewhat academic.
