I was going to purchase the YG with White / Romans. The SA / AD Mgr suggested i take it outside and view in natural daylight. His comment was that the white dial can appear somewhat stark in different settings. Which is what I found to be true.
I sometimes regret not keeping the first watch my wife gave me YG/Silver with Romans. But I’ve always preferred sticks with lume. I exchanged the YG Silver for RG Sundust / Sticks. It’s a beautiful watch. The YG with Black dial is somewhat different - it’s very classy and can dress up or down easily. Good luck. First world decisions for sure. |

In YG, white dial. That RG sundust stripe is beautiful.

If its only between these 2 get the white. Unless you want the Black with the diamond markers. The black on that is a sunburst black and the diamond markers make it pop.
Otherwise get what I got :) |

As a one watch id go with the white, the romans are amazing.
However, as the owner of a white daytona, I wanted some dial variety so went black. No wrong choices here Apparently you can even swap dials out when servicing, at a cost of course. One last thing, to my knowledge the black diamond dial doesn’t have lume on the hands, so the sticks I would say have slightly better legibility, at the cost of the sunburst dial of the black diamonds. You can’t swap dials between diamonds and non diamonds, officially anyway

Between the two, BLACK.
Personally, Silver with Roman.

Thanks I agree. To me it was no contest unless they made a yellow gold with blue dial. Then that would be difficult to decide. Green might be nice also in YG.

I have always liked black dial watches in any metal and my latest DD II had the black roman dial. Looked great and was very dressy to me. I sourced a champagne roman dial and had my AD switch the dials. I prefer the champagne, for now, but have both dials. There is no wrong answer and of the two you have listed as choices I would go white dial for just the difference. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

White with romans for the win. If you were talking black dial with baguettes that would be a different story.

I believe you already have a BLNR or some type or professional black face model if memory serves right, so definitely white on the DD for contrast.

I like white more on the DD but wouldn’t mind having either. Both are beautiful pieces!

I'm not a fan of Romans, too busy looking. Black sticks from those two.

The deconstructed romans were made for the fluted bezel-the interplay between the two is nothing short of magical.

On that particular watch, I'm more partial to the white dial. Either are great!

I prefer sticks to Roman numerals and think the best dial is silver. Baguettes really make it pop!
