14270 series question. Titrium vs lume
I am looking to get a 14270 preferably with a titrium dial and I just came across a listing on hqmilton that is confusing me a little.
I would post a link to the site but I don’t have enough posts yet. The model is inventory number A3048 in the site. Here is what it says in the note on the site ; “Excellent glossy black 3, 6, 9 The dial says Tritium, it is actually Luminova. U serial was a transition between the two.” They are saying even though the dial has the T Swiss notifier on it. The U series which was around 97-98 I believe actually used lume? Is this correct. The dial in these are incorrect? If anyone has a solid breakdown of each series letter and any good notes on them that would be very helpful. Thank you so much! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It is well known that during the Luminova switchover years, Rolex used already printed tritium dials with Luminova paint.
