Sky Dweller no doubt about, (1) more interesting and unique caliber in terms of complications and (2) it is visually appealing to me compared to the AP.

SD. I’m just not into that style of AP, think it looks like a toy vice a wristwatch.

Both are large for my wrist but...

SkyD.

Rolex, that AP looks far too 'busy' imho.

Would normally go for the AP but the skydweller wins in this situation. Not a fan of this offshore dial

Not a good match, you should compare with regular AP RO not RO Offshore.

I like the AP RO style, but not that particular one.
I’d probably take the SkyDweller of those two.

Rolex. Clever annual calendar, more robust for everyday use, and better looks.

It was not meant as a comparison, which one would you would you rather own between the two!

The Rolex is a timeless choice. Your tastes may change with the AP.

Between those two, the Skydweller, but mainly because I don’t have one yet and I have a couple of Offshores. I do have to say there are some really ignorant responses in this thread about the AP. The Offshore has established itself as a classic design in its own right over 25 years and it’s the Skydweller that has yet to prove itself as a classic Rolex design. Also, AP steel is no easier to scratch than Rolex. I get more noticeable scratches on my Rolexes, especially the deployant clasps, than on my APs. It’s funny to me how Rolex fans can have such myopic views of the world of watches.

Without trying them on and not being a fan of the Offshore line I would say SkyD, but after trying them both on I would go for the Offshore, the SkyD is way too thick and top heavy for me even though it is a beautiful watch.

Thank you for all the inputs, believe it or not it matters. After careful evaluation as well as taking everyones input indeed I have no need for the chrono as they do look quite busy! I am going to go for the diver offshore white dial but with black rubber strap instead. The sky-dweller is a two year waiting list if lucky!

Annual Calendar over a stopwatch you’ll probably never use.

Great choice your going to love that watch, very fun. Feel free to experiment with rubber straps, I think it comes with 2, a white one?

Some of you have never held an AP before and it shows. There is a reason one brand is in the Holy Trinity of watches and the other isn't.
