i think it was that she was the one who actually bought the bat, albeit for only 7 dollars, and shows that she still cares about him. the ego thing could also be in play too, but I didn't read it like that.

There are so many one-liners in that show - keeps you laughing. However, the scene when he is going through the lockers, pulling out some money from a velcro wallet, then finding a sandwich and eating it - man, that was sad!

I have been watching - pretty funny.

The actor playing Kenny is the same one who played "Red" the indestructable drug dealer in "Pineapple Express".
