Had one thru the 90's and got rid of it. Found a very nice mid 90's version from a member of this forum in December. One thing I do different with the second is the band, I never really liked the steel band so I wear a cheap Maratac now.

Thanks for all your replies, guys.
I guess those who own the LV can chip in with a YES!! And I do hope that those of you DON'T have the 16610 will plan on adding this beauty to your collection some day. JJ

My husband has the black face, TT Submariner, so it's in the same family. I have the SS/platinum YM. |

Sorry, JJ. I don't have one. Don't see myself getting one either. I just don't like the sports models. It needs to be sexy and blingy for me.

When I bought my first Rolex a few weeks backs folks on this forum were like, "welcome to the forums and congrats on your SubDate!" They also went on to say I'd be addicted and want another Rolex soon. I didn't think it would be this soon! I want that SS/Plat YM!

16610 is, I feel, the benchmark against which all sports/dive watches are measured. I lusted after one since I first saw one in the mid-80's as a teenager. My wife made my dream come true. The watch is such a versatile piece as it can be utilized for any purpose and occasion - to include dress. Simple, elegant, rugged.
