Tennis Anyone?

Are there any tennis players out there? I played high school and small college tennis. Still play in the USTA leagues at the 4.0 level. Our team went to the SC State playoffs last year. This year, 0-3 (ouch!). I lost my first match in 3 close sets in #1 singles, lost our second match in #1 Doubles and lost today in doubles again. Playing well but losing close matches. Anyway, who else plays?

I am an old tennis player!

The best thing that our team did was to take our coaches VW bug and lift it onto the tennis court, placing it on the center court! She never forgave us, but what a memory!

At least the poor girl was able to drive it off!

My poor hands are scarred for life!

We shall see if Fed can get Nadal out of his head this year. I think Federer is the better player but Nadal has his number. Did you see the 3 exhibitions Federer played vs Sampras last year? Three close matches, Sampras won the 3rd at Madison Square Garden.

yeah, sadly tennis is a mental game as well. who ever get pscyhed gets sacked. federer had that australian open in the bag and wimbeldon 2008 but he wasn't mentally tough. even marat safin said roger has more superior tennis skills than nadal but nadal simply has the mental edge

I played varsity in high school (Sunnyvale, CA). I was a doubles player and had an awesome serve & volley game. Ah, the good old days...

a tennis player here also. more of a hobby than competitive now.
still try to play at least twice a week if i can.

Fed isnt doing too well against Murray at the moment. hope he gets/finds a fulltime coach soon. 2009 maybe also another touch year for him.
