Has anyone ever seen a ref. 1570? (Like 1530 but with a WG bezel)

I saw this in some 2003 Christie's auction results. They call it a ref. 1570 and it appears to be essentially a 1530 with a 17014 bezel. It sold for $9.2k.

Was ref. 1570 a real thing or is this just a 1530 with the wrong bezel and Christie's made a typo?

Im keen for the OQ and 1530/1630s but in all my reading and research I have not ever seen this before. Very cool model if authentic.

Its known that they make prototypes in steel for new watches, and thats why you can find steel OQ day dates, but not sure about this one.

Nice 1530s go for more that 9k now, so maybe its a good deal at 9k, but I would not pay top dollar for that thinking its a 1570 unless I had papers or RSC service card.

Thanks for checking! Probably just as well, now I don't need to hunt one down!

It's powered by a 1575 movement that says 1570 on the bridge, they probably got it mixed up somehow.

I find it hard to believe it was a typo, seems like they made it up.

I think it looks good, I might look for a WG bezel for my 1530.
