After about 25 years, I was able to burrow my way out of prison with the wardens money I had helped him embezzle, escape to Mexico, and start rebuilding an old sailboat on the beach. Later, my friend Red came to Mexico and we went to TJ and bought 2 Rolexes to replace the one I left at the old house.
Chris, you make me proud to be a Cincinnatian!

Or how about this one - this was odd. I wanted to buy another watch and I took a job as a contractor. Great, I thought, learn on the job, get to see the world, sounds like fun...

Well, I was in charge of designing and implementing a cover for a pretty meaningless shaft that led to the reactor core of a large space station (at least I thought it was at the time... hindsight 20/20 you know). It was a pretty big project but should have been routine. I had a really great design and I was paid for my work and took a transport ship off the structure. Turns out some terrorists flew in and put a torpedo down that same small shaft! Boom, whole place went up.

You know what happened? Some a-hole in accounting forgot to send the final bill which had a copy of a work order to the construction crew. The foreman knew that this cover was sitting RIGHT NEXT to the shaft! But, he was union, it was OT, and there was no work order so he put a piece of cardboard over it. Unbelievable. According to the shipping, it was even signed for by a "D.V." Man, heads are gonna roll.

Still, I made it out of there and picked up a nice Sub from some smuggler. Turned out to be fake, of course.

Okay, should probably get some sleep. I have an interview in the morning for this really cool gig. Another contracting job, this time constructing some really large cages for this island theme park...

I hope this is a joke (but it is not April 1st). A Rolex is not worth fighting over. That could be a very expensive Daytona indeed

Well, no need to get all mamby-pamby now....you've decided on a course of action, now stick to it. Punch anyone who tries to give you grief about this little incident right in the face. Don't stop punching people in the face until you get where you need to be. In fact, when you think you're finished punching people in the face, punch one more person right in the face, just for good measure. And if you didn't get that watch, go get it now. Anyone tries to stop you, punch 'em...right in the face...

Great, he's ruined it for everyone. Now ADs' are going to refuse discounts because people want Rolexes so bad they're fighting over them .

Damn teenagers and their flying machines eh? How do you think I felt when I had a brand new job Alderaan, some inconsiderate person had gone and destroyed the planet, and my promotion!

Anyway, I'm supposed to be joining the workforce on some new space station, apparently it's near a nice moon with walking teddy bears. Should be a good gig!

Wooh! I had a dream yesterday about a man who saw a lady watching 2 idiots fighting at my local AD, but I couldn't tell what they were fighting about and it had been bugging me since . Mystery solved thanks .

Well, that explains a mystery solved for me, too. I saw a man asleep at the park yesterday and he was murmuring something about, "Good grief, put the watch down before you hit him again!" and it left me wondering all day what he was dreaming about.

Phew - I thought I witnessed a pick-pocketing: some lady was walking in the park, then she stopped and ran over to some sleeping guy on the bench and the rest I couldn't see, as I was hiding in the bushes (guess why). Lisa, that dress looked DYN-O-MITE on you! I love spring!

Oh, dude. I'm sorry but that couldn't have been me. You probably didn't notice that haggard looking woman over by the swings? With the stroller and three kids in tow - wearing old torn Levis with chewed up cereal and pears crusted onto her shoulder? THAT was me!

That only means one thing: Call the police! Ryan has had his pocket picked while dreaming about the man watching the lady watching the two guys fighting over the Daytona!

This reminds me of a similar story that happened to me. I flew out to LA to pick up a red sub that this guy had for sale. Well, I got stuck in LA freeway traffic. It was like nothing I've ever seen before, and it was so hot outside. The A/C in my rental was broken, and after like an hour, I couldn't take it -- I had to get to that red sub!

Well, so I get out of the car and take off trying to find a bus or a cab to get to my destination. But, unbeknown to me, I was in South Central, a really rough neighborhood. I hadn't walked more than half a mile before I was fighting for my life with every gangbanger in sight. One of them had a shotgun and I wrested it from his hand before finding refuge in a BK.

Frustrated, tired and hungry I went to order breakfast. But, they refused to serve me breakfast because it was after 10. Well, somehow I just snapped. I don't know how it happened but I found myself with a shotgun in the clerk's face telling him he was GOING to make me some F**KING breakfast!!

It was a horrible day all in all, and just goes to show how Rolex + stress can = bad situations.

I am personally offended with your mention of a firearm.

but I am surprised that you hopped off the high moral horse for once

Thanks for your concern, but don't worry that wasn't a pick-pocket, that was my wife. And Greg she says thanks for the compliment

Yes - He viewed this thread many times yesterday. However I don't see how assaulting someone at a jewelry store could be entertaining. I guess I am just getting old
