if you happen to have 0% financing and has enough money in the bank, why not. as most people have said, don't buy what you can't afford. Save up, you'll get there.

Cash. Other high dollar items I will pay with Amex only to double the warranty and then pay it off. I never buy anything I can't pay cash for.

Debit card, would never use credit for a watch to make payments. To get points or some other perk-fine. Just pay it off.

My exact sentiments. Get the reward points and pay off. Don't buy what I can't afford.

Had the cash but being no one was dealing choose to finance it 30% down and pay off the balance in 3 easy payments.
But 2 years no interest why not do that. |

If you need to finance to buy a deluxe item you need to check your life priorities and work on them asap.

I don't think the OP meant for this to be an editorial on what people should buy and how they should buy it.... let's refrain from telling others how to spend their money |

Cash via bank wire for most of my pieces.
Bought a couple of Rolex's from AD and paid via credit card to earn points points (and I didn't have the cash on me anyway ). But I always pay the balance at the end of the month. |

Have not purchased Rolex on my own yet but for other luxury items (i.e. Omega, McInstosh, Gibson , Fender etc. etc.) I use CC card (so that I can accumulate airline miles) and pay off 100% on the 1st payment due. If they (shop, manufacture, Bill Me Later etc.) are offering 0% interest for x months than I will take an adantage of it but only if I have 100% fund to buy the item in the first place. I do not buy anything that I can not pay off in one lump sum except for home and auto. I've seen too many folks buying things that they can not afford to get into a Whole lotta mess. I use cc all the time but since I pay off on the 1st payment due I'm not their customer at all. CC to me is a safer alternative to carry cash.

My 16600 back in 1998, CC which was settled in full at the end of the month, and earned the usual bonus points and airmiles.
My recent 116660, 50% CC [for airmiles again etc etc] with full settlement when due and the rest 0%, same as Jen here. |

Credit card and then just pay it off when I get the bill. I don't even have a house payment, so I'm sure as hell not going to have a watch payment.
