Removing Rolex stickers in one piece?
Hi,
Just received my long awaited DD40 PM with a green dial today from my AF, fully in the stickers. Is there a way to remove the stickers without damaging the stickers themselves? I am appreciating to keep everything with the watch and the removed stickers are part of the history for me, I only like to keep them as neat as possible? With a hairdryer at a low temperature maybe?, anyone any experience with this? Kind regards, Ron |

The stickers arent designed or meant to last. They are only there to protect the piece through shipping and while in store. They add nothing to value once peeled off.

Pull them off, throw them in the trash. They have already served their purpose.

Congrats Ron.
I remember getting my first Rolex - a long time ago - the Milgauss and I carefully peeled the stickers and stuck it in my manual booklet. It’s yours - enjoy it as you deem fit. Just do your best with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Removing Rolex stickers in one piece?
YES! Be Very Careful!
Use your thumb, index fingers and a freshly manicured fingernail to gently lift stickers from your 18k Gold watch. Once the sticker is lifted pull slowly to release it from the watch and various parts they are on. If you get all the stickers in one piece without ripping them, YOU WIN! Simply reapply the stickers to a piece of paper and take it to your AD and ask them for your PRIZE! Congratulations on the new DD!

Some have stated here that they do not consider the watch complete without all the stickers which they keep with the watch. As the stickers are not connected to one another but are separate pieces of plastic. I doubt unconnected pieces can be removed in one piece. They do remove easily without damage, however.

Just peel them off. If any of them are damaged that too will be part of your history. |

I have always just placed the stickers inside the front cover of the watch manual. Not anal about it, it was just as easy as throwing them away so why not. My first Rolex I bought in 2006 (LV) and the stickers are still intact.

I know you thought TRF would be a friendlier place to ask the question but we have had a spate of poorly-reared people joining, plus some long-time members losing control of themselves. The stickers are a vinyl compound made a bit “stretchier” to conform to the curves and corners of the case and bracelet links. It is fiddly work. Warming the vinyl will help the adhesive release a bit easier - but it also will cause more vinyl stretch. Maybe try wearing the watch all day and then try one sticker since it should be almost 90°F. If that makes it fairly easy, then set the oven for 100° and warm it up, and do more stickers. One other option is to get help from the AD if they have someone who routinely removes stickers for other buyers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I can't think of any of the stickers that do not come off easily and in one piece, although there are a bunch of them. They aren't really "sticky"

I like to put them on my nose. I try to remember to take them off before going out, though.

Firstly a huge congratulations on a great choice, about taking off stickers. Yeah they don't come off easy, but they eventually will.

There is but it’s actually more important to preserve the air that came on the inside of the Green Rolex from Switzerland. That is the most important thing to any collector, the fresh Switzerland air. Be sure to only open the box when you’re inside a special air chamber as to not let the air leak out into the world of contaminated air by other lesser quality watches.

Are you also trying to preserve the glue on the backs of the stickers?
