Cracked Pip

YEP... Cracked my pip today on my SubC, not even a year old :/

That sucks. , don’t beat yourself up too much about it....it’s a quick and easy fix for RSC and if I remember correctly runs about 75-80 bucks.

oh! that's not bad!

I'm kind of a newb, do I contact my AD for that or locate an RSC myself?

whacked it on my wife's mirror/jewelry locker thing. not very hard but apparently just right!

Don't know if they can replace just the pip, but my GMT is at the service center right now, and to replace the whole crystal is $133.40.

That's remarkable, really. Just one of those "wouldn't happen again in 100 attempts" kind of thing.

You are fortunate.

A few years back and the whole insert needed to be replaced. Rolex has developed the tools to properly replace the pip as long as it meets certain criteria.

It needs to be evaluated by them, but you could be lucky.

Technically you could do either. If I were you I’d call the Dallas RSC and follow their instructions, sending it in myself.
