Sadly, so many wrestlers have ended up in bad shape. Rolex should make a donation to Cauliflower Alley Club in honor of Flair and his free publicity. |

Nobody’s mentioned the Von Erich family.
When my son was younger he was really into it and I took him to a Raw event and we got to see The Big Show, Randy Orton and a bunch of other stars. Vince McMahon was staying in the same hotel as us and we saw him in the lobby. I wasn’t into wrestling but it was so much fun watching his eyes light up and doing all the audience feedback. Watched it growing up. My dad took me to Festival Hall in Brisbane in 1986 for a report-card reward, and I remember seeing George “the Animal” Steele, who must have been 49 years old at the time, and lots of hepped up goofballs chanting “bull-sh#%!”, which confused and scared me a little. That was a rad night.

I am not really into Darren Aronofsky movies, but The Wrestler, with Mickey Rourke as an ageing Randy “The Ram”, still at it and living out of his car, is such a heartbreaking, great movie. It’s awesome you got to help guys like Randy. In Australia, a sport called rugby league is really huge on the east coast, and a lot of ex-players who got rich in the 90s, when it went pro, struggle with a range of issues today. It’s a tragic contrast to their glory days. |

Chewbacca, used to watch a lot during the so called Monday night wars. Nowadays, got back into after they launched the network app....can't beat it at $10 a month. Smart business move, getting us that are a little older back in with all the content imo. |

I watched it in early 70s when my Pops took me to the Olympic Auditorium to see Freddie Blassie, Mil Mascaras and Kenji Shibuya. Now I have to fend off my son when he tries to show me his latest Jiu Jitsu hold.

Nothing quite beat the Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan rivalry!

It’s not to everyone’s taste but I will say that there are MANY closet fans and it’s a great icebreaker when you meet people in your age group. I’m talking serious business owners and professionals too. Now they have their own kids and it’s a common bond.
watch the quotes and memories fly! Haha. |

What a cool picture with Mil Mascaras. I was a big fan in my younger days, my favorite wrestler was Sting and in Mexico I liked a lot a wrestler called DR Wagner.

I have, somewhere in a box, a bloody, torn-up Dr Wagner Jr. mask that I got (I think) at Arena Mexico after a show. I've got so much memorabilia tucked into boxes and closets - I really need to get it out and donate it to one of the wrestling museums.
