I joined this group to learn more, please help!
I want to get myself and my husband (as a surprise) new rolexes, I think. He bought me a new one, from a Rolex dealer in August, it never came so we got our money back and now I want to shop used. But everything I'm finding seems to be very similar price to new. I really want a deal, do you think that is possible to save a few thousand?
I want the the datejust rose gold two tone with jubilee band and fluted bezel, face color doesn't matter really, I like the stainless, pink or black faces. I'm wanting the 31mm, I have a 28mm now that is too small. I want to get him the same in a 41mm solid white gold/stainless band and same black face with diamond numbers, like kind of his and hers. Should I expect to negotiate some on used? Can I trade in my old ones? What are your favorite resell sites, I'll have to buy online? |

Good day ma’am,
Unfortunately that is the way of the grey market so to say. With the demand so high and supply so low, they tend to ask a nominal fee on top of new and used watches above what the AD sells.(as they legally can not ask for more than the list price plus applicable taxes and what not) The only way you are going to save a few thousand dollars is by going direct through your AD sadly. But welcome to the forum! |

I believe the watches you want are not hard to get if they are two tone datejusts, but you won't be getting them at a discount any time soon.
