16710 Owners...

What is your favourite/most worn configuration ?

So after lusting after so many 16710s on here, I've decided that my next watch will be a GMT.

It will be a late model no holes case and I plan on getting it serviced with RSC and get them to replace a new bezel and bracelet.
I know further down the line I will get all the bezels for it, but initially trying to decide which combo I'd go for first.

Wouldn't be the black bezel and oyster as that would look to similar to my Sub.

Thinking jubilee and coke or Pepsi.

Have read a lot of comments about the jubilee being "tinny" and "rattly", but on the wrist, does it feel solid?

Feel free to post pics

Sold mine yesterday. I had the 3 inserts, and could not find one anymore I could really enjoy any longer.

The red black coke is my favorite especially the faded coke color. Look good on jubilee bracelet.

16710: coke on oyster (like the 16760)

I have mine with a Pepsi insert at present but I'm tempted to swap back to the original Coke. All three are great options although I appreciate if you have a sub, why the black seems less appealing.

Had the watch on oyster bracelet with both coke and pepsi but liked the latter better. Eventually had to sell because the 5 digits ref wears too small on my 7.9 wrist.

Stayed with the Pepsi for years. Have all three just laziness. Only on Oyster as never bought Jubilee because Oyster better anyway. Jubilee money better spent on next piece. No holes case anyway so pain in ..

I fitted my c.2000 16710N (black insert) with an aftermarket ceramic BLRO insert. The pepsi bezel colors harken back to the original 1954 Ref. 6542 GMT-Master, and I prefer the blue-red bezel and the Oyster bracelet.

Twenty-two years ago I paid a small fortune to have Rolex in NYC replace the original Jubilee with an Oyster flip-lock on my old Ref. 1675; I'm just not a fan of the Jubilee bracelets.

I have black, coke, and two pepsi inserts. The most worn, is the faded Salmon pepsi!

Another vote for Red & Black! Here's my Z series. When shopping, focus on the condition of the case, bezel and bracelet since the bezel insert (color) is interchangeable. I also have the red/blue Pepsi and plan to change for the summer months.

I previously owned this Z-serial 16710. I purchased it new from an AD in 2008 and regretfully sold it in 2014. As with many of the sport pieces, you never realize what you have until it is gone, lol. I can definitely confirm that the factory-fitted SEL Oyster bracelet on this watch was absolutely rock-solid.

My favourite is a coke bezel on an oyster bracelet. I purchased mine from Pykes in Birkenhead on 6th Dec 1997. It was my daily wearer until I got my Sub 114060 in 2012. I ended up selling it in 2016 as I never wore it.

Wore a Pepsi for years on jubilee and finally switched it to Oyster. Have no idea what happened to the Jubilee bracelet?! It’s just disappeared.
Then tired of Pepsi so bought a Coke. Then tired of that and bought a LN.
LN was and still is the sweet spot for me in either 5 or 6 digit ref, but if I had to chose a favourite bi-colour 5 digit bezel it would be the Coke.

For me, the jubilee is more comfortable, but the oyster looks better. I keep my 16710 Pepsi on the oyster

To answer your question, no, the jubilee does not feel solid on the wrist. But it does look nice. I’ve had mine on oyster for almost a year now.

I love my 16710 D Serial with SEL's. I have all the inserts but the Red and blue insert is on it the most. I also prefer the Oyster bracelet to the Jubilee modded with a glidelock clasp.

Oyster Pepsi is the best config. Jubs are to feminine. Black color isnt a true GMT and Coke gets little attention.

The great thing about the 16710 is the interchangeable bezels. It's like having 3 watches in one. I personally own both a Coke and faded Pepsi bezel. I also have jubilee and oyster bracelet, depending how I'm feeling on the day I wear it.
