Bracelet Material Questions

So, i'm not too sure about all the bracelets as it pertains to metals.

Obviously a gold Day-Date has a gold bracelet. A two-tone (YG or RG) has gold center links. My white gold DJ has a full SS bracelet. Does let's say a white gold submariner reference 126619LB, does the oyster bracelet on that reference made of white gold or stainless steel?

(I found where it talked about bracelet material on the Rolex site. Question answered, it's white gold)

If it's a full gold model, everything is gold, down to the spring bars.

I never stopped to wonder what kind of metal the spring bars would be made out of. It's truly fascinating that they are also gold. Is this done to prevent any reactions from mixing metals?

I think it is done to prevent wearing out as supposedly steel would wear out gold more than gold on gold contact.

Steel spring bars will wear out the holes in a gold case.
