Because buying a new Rolex to celebrate one’s inauguration as POTUS is straight out of the mythos of decades of Rolex advertising...

It's a DateJoe

It's all about health, happiness & family. The rest are just necessary inconveniences we have to deal with.

It's a cool watch! Love the blue dial on the DJ. Always interesting to see watches public figures wear.

Yeah, it's sad that so many members refuse to comply with pretty simple rules, and I don't envy the mods who volunteer to scoop the poop that those members leave behind.

I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but I hope the mods are sanctioning or banning the individual users who break these rules rather than just deleting the (otherwise respectful) threads with no further action taken against the individual users. It's a shame to throw out the baby with the bath water and allow those bad apples to get these otherwise respectful, watch-related threads deleted. Ideally, if the bad apples get weeded out, these sorts of threads can stay up.

And that’s why we can’t have nice things. Such a subtle line as it slides...

I do not envy the mods. Thank you for all you do

I have seen actions taken, including today. Mods are doing a great job of sweeping up.

I'm glad this hasn't been locked. I'm not sure that he cares about which watch he wears but nothing outrageous has been said yet. Plus 1 upvote for free speech and I hope he really does appreciate his watches.

He was frustrated with all the BS excuses from AD. Then he said, “Come on, man!”

I seem to remember prior conversation about the prior office's resident as well!! Seems like an obvious point of interest. I''ve also seen discussion here about Castro's watches. An public figure is game, imho!!! Curious as to why anyone would think anything else. I don't remember issues being brought up on prior discussions!!
