Pelagos or BB58 - wrist size check

Hello,

Tried on some Tudors at my AD today - I have a Blue SMP 42mm for reference which I attached in the pics too.

The Pelagos feels too big despite it being the same case size and lug to lug as my SMP. The BB58 on the other hand felt too small. Perhaps I am overthinking this, what are your thoughts?

Ive owned the seamaster, pelagos and a 41mm bb. Out of the 3 my fav was the Pelagos 2 liner. That would be my choice. Doesnt look too big.

Could we see some more pictures for these watches without turning on the light?

Size wise I prefer the BB58 but really it is up to you.

When it comes to size, it all depends on your taste and what you like.

To me, the only one that looks good on your wrist is the 58. The other two look way too big and overpowering. But that's just based on my own personal taste of how I like to wear watches.

I think you're the only one who can answer this question --- and it seems like you already have. If you think the 58 is too small, then it's too small. If you think the Pelegos, even with the same dimensions as the SMP, is too big, then it's too big. You may just have to chalk it up to neither of these two watches really being for you.

At the end of the day, no amount of people online commenting on your wrist shots is going to change your feeling about it.

BB58 looks the best , it would look even better on the bracelet . But that’s just my opinion

They all work fine for you to be honest. Nothing wrong with having some larger watches and some smaller ones in a collection. I like the look of that 58 on the strap

Appreciate the replies - id be getting the BB58 on metal, didn’t have it in stock at the moment. Attached my blue 41mm SMP too I think 39-41 is my sweet spot with 42mm being a bit large.

Appreciate the replies !

What is your wrist size? I ask because mine is 7” and I feel that the BB58 blue on the bracelet fits me great, but on the strap it seems too small.

Just my two cents…

I like the design of BB58 and your SMP 41 (I have a 2220.80) the best, but size-wise i think they are all good.

I have the SMP 42mm and the BB58. Sometimes it’s nice to switch between the sizes depending where you’re going/what mood you’re in. BB58 bracelet gets my vote.

I have only tried the BB58 blue versions on at my AD. I am still wavering between buying a BB58 blue on bracelet or an SMP 42.

I’ve had all three and have a 7”
Wrist. Out of them - IMHO Pelagos all the way.

BB58 is the only one that looks appropriately sized on your wrist, IMHO.

It will wear a tiny bit smaller on strap compared to bracelet.

I consider the BB58 a perfect fit on my 7” (flat) wrist. The Tudor GMT feels slightly too large, as do some six digit Rolex pieces.

I also think the Pelagos looks better, The SMP is not bad either.

BB58 looks like the best size, given the photos provided. Pelagos looks largest.

I looked at all 3 of these watches recently and landed on the SMP Blue. Enjoying it a lot!

If that was my wrist I'd be going with the BB58, and forgetting about the other two. The Pelagos and the SMP look OK, but they're right at the limit IMO....but that is JMO.

I think the 58 looks a little small. My wrist is smaller than yours and when I tried one on it was comfortable but felt too small. I like my divers a little on the larger side. Have you considered the 41mm BB? I understand it’s thicker but I think it splits the difference in size. Plus it has the unique colored crown tube.

FWIW your Seamaster is beautiful and I much prefer it to the BB 58 or the regular BB in blue.

BB58 on bracelet wins. On strap… not so much. Pelagos is cool. Not for me though!
