wait on op41 or ask for dj41?

I've paid in full when announced, for an op41 with a colorful dial and am getting impatient... I also like dj41 steel with jubilee, flutted bezel any dial. I'm wondering if it's worth waiting for the op41 because it seems harder to get or asking the ad for the next dj41 that comes in. I like both but would like the advise of others who have been collecting longer than I have. thanks for your help

I prefer any DJ over any OP, any day

I’d take a new colorful OP (Red, Yellow, Green) over a Datejust especially at retail.

Same with the exception of the white dial OP39 (or 36). But yeah, DJ41 > OP41 in my opinion.

The Datejust is a fantastic watch. The colorful OPs are cool and all, but the Datejust is a probably even nicer option really especially if you are getting impatient.

Agreed, I should have said ‘almost’

Wow, and they made you pay in full? These have been trickling in. I haven’t gotten one yet but was offered.

to clarify, they didn't make me pay in full, i offered. I wanted to secure the piece no excuse to offer to someone else. I did that with my first purchase a 2 tone 41mm sub last September the day rolex released and was able to get it within 30 days. so whether it's put through as a special order or pressure on the regional rep to fulfill a paid order I don't know. the a.d. swears they have not received one watch in the color I ordered. I thought if I was more open to a date just i might have a better chance. I guess I'm just frustrated like everyone else with the lack of supply. thanks for your opinions!

OP41 has been a refreshing change of pace for me over my DJ41. More playful and casual for the summertime.

Do you want a date?

Personally for me I use it a lot. so that would swing it.

Also having a jubilee if you already have a watch with an Oyster bracelet makes sense imo.

I have both and prefer the clean classic look of the OP. The case proportions are great. If you don't need the date, it is perfect IMHO. I chose a more classic color, but have seen most others, and they look great also. Good luck
