Met Up With My Best Friend And Brought Our Watches - Take a Look!

Haven’t seen my best friend / best man in over a year and met up when in North Carolina today. He brought his watches and I brought mine. Had to take a photo of this duo collection:

We each have one. I have the newer one with the white lettering on the dial.

My only watches are the newer TT Sub, Explorer II, and the Tudor Chrono. My buddy owns everything else. The Pepsi GMT is white gold.

Thought I saw the WG sheen. Rolex really did a disservice to WG owners.

I don’t think anyone who owns one feels this way for what it’s worth. Yet to meet someone or see anyone on here complain about it.

Strangely the exp ii stands out out of the bunch there!

Because it's almost identical to the 2020 stainless? If so, I argue there's definitely a unique joy associated with wearing a covert all-gold professional model.

I like the Tudor a lot on that strap.

The YG sub, is the top left lug a bit rounder/slimmer?

It's noticeable because of the purple bezel. It's no Pepsi.

These are fun. Great pieces!

It reminds me of the Rolex Passion Report get togethers, but on a small scale. Google the Passion Report get togethers, because they are astounding. Some of the biggest vintage collectors in the world get together in Europe to hang out and drink wine, eat great food, and they bring millions of dollars worth of vintage Rolexes each. You will never see as many rare and beautiful pieces together in one place as you do at these. I would love to be a guest at one of those!

Thanks, it’s actually the discontinued Tudor Chrono. I’m actually selling it in the for sale part of the forums. I bought my wife a Lady Datejust and need to sell the Tudor to recoup some funds :-)

There’s also joy that comes from it being different (other than material) from SS model. I think they screwed up by offering oyster bracelet option for the SS. But I don’t own either one and don’t plan to so don’t really matter to me.
