Rolex Warranty Card

Hi guys,

I wanted to check something with you, I have been to see a 2021 unworn batgirl which says it is from Saudi Arabia on the warranty card. The warranty card is an old style warranty card. I’ve been told this is due to the fact that not every country has the new style warranty cards yet. Is this true or is this something I need to look into?

Sounds suspicious

Have you a picture of the watch & card?

Unfortunately not as I only went to try it on today and I am due to pay the deposit tonight. I am only cautious as this is my first Rolex and the new style warranty cards came in September 2020. However this 2021 watch comes with an old style warranty card. I’ve been told this is due to the fact not every country has the new style warranty cards yet.

Please don’t rush into paying the deposit before more members here have had chance to view this thread.

I’m not saying there definitely is something wrong with the watch, but it does seem strange when as you say he new style cards have been out since September 2020.

Please also try & get the seller to send you some pics you can post here for members to view

Take a photo of the warranty card and try to call the Rolex AD in Saudi Arabia and check with them, the AD name should be clearly printed on the card. Also, make sure to verify the serial number with the watch.

A bit more information is needed to help us provide good input.

Did the warranty card have any notations that included a date? That would mean an authorized dealer sold the watch on that date. Even if it is dated 2021, it doesn’t mean the watch was produced in 2021.

An old style card could mean a couple of things: the watch is old stock or the card isn’t genuine.

It is possible that the channel distribution center for Middle East had an abundant supply of the old cards. And because of the Rolex 2020 shutdown’s disruption of the supply chain, those old cards were used for current shipments.

Hope this helps! Please let me know your thoughts, the back of the card has the date it was purchased in May as well as the AD it was purchased from and the purchasers name.

For me it’s a non issue. The AD may have received the card later or did not bother to exchange it for a new style card. Card is card.

As long as you trust the seller all good.

Op, listen to your instincts. I would steer clear of this one. This isn’t the only 2021 BLNR out there. Buy from a reputable local grey near you (London) so you have some recourse.

What is he asking for the watch (I’m guessing it’s a pretty good deal). Another red flag for me.

This is from a local dealer in London who has very good reviews & the watch was just bought in Saudi Arabia and he is asking for £15,000 which is the going rate at the moment in pounds.

Have to agree and to the original poster no such think as a batgirl Rolex watch, they only exist in internet fantasy land, the watch you are buying is a Rolex GMT Master II 126710 BLNR.
