I don’t see many IWC here so

Here is the IWC that was made as a special commission for our squadron. 20 were produced and sold to 662 squadron pilots only.

662 was a squadron formed by polish pilots serving in the RAF during WW2. After the war the squadron was disbanded but raised again as an Army Air Corp squadron in 1969. We have operated a multitude of aircraft but now fly the AH64 Apache helicopter, we will transition to the Echo variant next year.

I’m not big on IWC, but that thing is bad a$$! Great presentation and packaging.

What material is the watch case made out of?

The Watch case is polished ceramic with IWC 89361 flyback chrono movement.

I am also not the biggest IWC fan, but the Big Pilot series is growing on me and these are incredible and unique. That’s awesome for you to be on the receiving end of a piece like this. Congrats!

The big pilot is cool plus you can still get a decent discount from IWC.

Just got word from my AD that my Pilot Lake Tahoe is about to ship from Switzerland and should get to me in the next couple of weeks.

Love that IWC actually has watches made and ready to ship when they announce new releases.

Just picked up a Spitfire yesterday. I'll post pics when it arrives but no one makes a better pilot or field watch imo. Timeless

Lake Tahoe is in. Very beautiful and striking watch. Not for when one is trying to be discreet. :)

What an amazing and special piece. A great collaboration of military and personal history. I really like the personal touch with your name and call sign on the case back. That’s an heirloom for generations to come. Congratulations and enjoy is good health and safe skies.
