New arrival

I had been on the fence about a Daytona for many years but it's looks have grown on me. Although I generally stay away from YG (I have a SS GMT Batman and WG Skydweller), I think the addition of the Rubber B strap allows the YG to pop without screaming out too much bling.

Really happy with the new acquisition.

I wouldn’t use a rubber band on a two tone watch. Just doesn’t make sense.

Very nice! Congrats! I'm really loving the new strap. The black strap goes perfectly with the black dial.

How does it differ from an all gold or all stainless watch?

Looks strange on the Rubber B. That's a no-go for me, but it's also not much watch so enjoy as you will!

Congratulations. I will do the same thing and put it on a Rubber B strap. It looks fantastic
Months ago I passed on a TT white dial, it was not the right time but love the watch. I think these TT Daytonas are sleepers, the market will catch up now fast.

Congrats! I just picked up a white one as well. Now I'm curious to see a two-tone white dial with rubber.

Congrats I'm trying to find one. Wasn't sure if I wanted a white dial or black. But that black with the rubber b looks great.

Thanks all for the well wishes.

I never considered the TT model or a black dial until I saw a picture of one with the Rubber B strap on their website. I have been looking for a ceramic bezel version with a white dial but as everyone knows, they are hard to come by unless you are willing to pay a huge premium.

I probably wouldn't wear this one with the TT band but something about the black dial and rubber strap works for me. I have a 25yo TT DJ36 (jubilee) and don't wear it that much because of the YG. The YG also makes the bezel shine more than the WG or older SS version, which somehow doesn't appeal to my eye. I still like the ceramic bezel - maybe a future acquisition?

Probably explains why there are so many variants of the Daytona - so many combinations that can completely change the look of the watch without changing the mechanism.

Rolex put rubber (Oysterflex) on PM, so somebody thinks it makes sense.

Another shot.

The buckle is the only part that I don't like since it is TT but I don't have to look at it when I wear it.

Excellent! Congrats!

I, too, am a latecomer to the Daytona club. I only like sports references and had never owned a Daytona until this year. Cheers.
