Both are very handsome watches...personally, I'd pick the YM (or consider the YM with black MOP dial) but you can't really go wrong with either.

I would go with the GMT II but I would choose the SS version over the TT version.

Of those two I'd take the TT GMT II, an old friend offered me his (almost unworn - 8 month old) a few years ago for £2000, I should have snatched his hand off

Given the wonderful chance of a choice, I would go for the GMT IIC in SS.

The TT Yacht with the white face and black onyx markers is my absolute favorite TT Rolex.

Have you tried either of your choices on yet? The Yacht is a great looking watch when it's on your wrist.

Also, the newly announced TT 09 Sub is an option to consider. They should be hitting ADs this summer. They sport the same case as the GMT-IIc.

Price, I'd expect. It's a fair bit on top, but I personally think it really suits TT - by far the best looking steel and yellow watch in the Rolex line up. I'd personally go for the GMT because:

1) Build Quality - the clasp is an improvement on the YM's
2) Looks - personal opinion
3) Practicality - added bonus of the 3 time zone functionality
4) Ceramic bezel - looks gorgeous with gold inlays
5) Extra heft - that little bit of extra weight adds to the solidity of the watch

I am biased, it's probably one of my grails, but that's why I get so passionate about this watch

the dealer had an interesting point he was saying that the YM TT with the white dial is more sporty and goes better with casual wear and jeans wear while the GMT MASTER II TT is more formal like looks best with a suit.

But the case of the GMT is thicker and nicer... the black inside the dial of the TT YM is cool...
aaarrghhhh

Yeah, like I said - the new sub is almost as thick as the GMT-IIc, it has the cerachrom bezel insert, the bracelet is solid, and the clasp is even nicer (glidelock). You might want to have your AD put one aside for you to look over before you make your decision.

Your Dealer is only offering an opinion................. I might see things exactly the opposite.,..

They are both great watches...however, they are both at the upper end of the "bling" scale for me........

By the way, it is my grail. Bought the SS first, then sold it and have the TT V series.

My favorite ever.

Need I say more? But if you must have a TT then the GMT II is a beautiful watch.
