Incoming WG GMT 116719

Well it’s done. I was contemplating a trade on a thread last week and I went through with it. So far so good, very subtle with just the right amount of awareness. I like it. Will I miss the 116618LN?? I am not sure yet, I am still a fan of the YG. I will try it out like this for a bit, it’s a 2018 so I still have warranty in the event I want to do a dial swap to the blue. I am going to give it some time like this. I already have a blue dial watch anyway. Thanks to those who nudged me a bit for this.

Absolute stunner my friend, glad to see you make the move … BIG congratulations

PS, I’d keep that black dial. It’s makes it all that much stealthier to those who know

I agree, but get the blue dial anyway. As long as you can keep the black

When and how long did they do a black face in WG? I always thought the WG was blue.

A year I think. The WG BLRO came out first with black dial. Once the SS was released it was changed to blue.

Ok it was bugging me. WG 116719BLRO released 2014 and SS 126710BLRO/WG 126719BLRO released 2018. Keep in mind back then PM pieces weren't big movers.

116719BLRO is possible with black or blue dial while 126719BLRO is blue dial or meteorite as of 2019.

This one is a 2018, the last year of the black face. I spoke to Rolex Canada this afternoon inquiring about the blue dial swap and they will keep the black. I asked how come…they feel that the amount of black face WG left is not many as most have swapped dials. They insisted I keep it this oem color as there are maybe half as many left alone as to how many were produced.
She definitely threw a wrench in my thought process of switching to a blue dial. I will enjoy it for now like this.
On another note after letting go of my beloved YG Submariner, I am so excited for this WG as immediately it feels so much easier to wear. I have a feeling this is going to get waaaaaay more wrist time than the one I let go.

Good to know. All I will say is I would keep trying different ways. With this new YM42 Falcon dial for example I will definitely love to own both dials as soon as it is possible. The only way I'd swap if I were you is 100% keeping the black.

I think it would be worth trying to determine if the black dial on your watch is any different from the black dial on a stainless steel model. If they are the same, I would think you could easily source a black dial down the road. Then you could have the best of both worlds.

I had a 2018 Black dial and loved it. I would agree and recommend keeping the original. Congratulations and enjoy.

99% convinced this is the same dial.

Agree… great watch. Beautiful. But do the dial swap when you can. The watch you had was beautiful too, but I bet you will wear this one more. This is a daily wearer and a stunner at that.

Congrats!! This was my last purchase aswell, a few months ago. Also a 2018 and also went with a black dial.

For me it’s one of the most unique and collectible Modern rolex models. I was absolutely not change for blue - personally, otherwise I would of just bought a blue.

P.s the dial is the same the only way to differentiate is the coronet at the bottom of the dial.

Enjoy :)

The WG 116719BLRO was released in 2014 and discontinued in 2018.

The 126710BLRO and 126719BLRO were released in 2018.
