Mary Shelley’s Tudor Rolex

This one is quite unique but the case and hands look promising. I just don’t know how they lined up the date aperture of a Rolex dial with a Tudor movement. Unless, it’s a Rolex movement… or a piece of junk! Most likely a refinished Tudor dial with Rolex printing. What a legendary mess

We know - but why does this matter?

The seller is clear that it’s a part-out sale - and clearly a franken.

One thing is for sure, that dial is junk and cant be reused. Im sure the edge has been shaved down to fit the case and the feet cut off and the dial probably glued to that movement. It was popular in the 80s and early 90s to try and make a Tudor into a Rolex.

PaulG, sorry for wasting your time. I don’t see many GMT dialed Tudor subs. I found it interesting but I guess we don’t have much in common. I hope you find another thread more captivating

I can’t believe this got moved Into the Watch Out section. I posted it because it is a uniquely converted watch which I wondered about they did it. It’s not something that is misleading to a bidder. Anyway, I give up.
