While on a unjustifiably long wait list at a local AD, I spent a lot of time researching watches and realized that it is not easy to find even the basic information on watch sizes, in particular the lug to lug distance.

So, although I am not a programmer, i made a site that does just that.

I have collected data on current popular models so that they can be compared, but also compared within categories, such as divers, chronographs etc. New watches can also be added easily. This is a V2 version of the site, I would like it to be a go to place for watch size comparison in the future.

Pretty cool and helpful sir. Thank you. I normally have to go on YouTube and search. Normally go see Watchbox(Tim Mosso) videos because they have good infos. about watch measurements in the description. If you can add pictures comparison side by side that would be super awesome.

If I may add one other often difficult-to-find dimension: dial. When comparing two 38mm watches, they'll obviously wear very differently based on dial size.

Cool site, but since your aim with this website is to help people on wearability, then my suggestion is to give the actual accurate dimensions of a watch since the dimensions you have on your site is inaccurate. Not due to fault of your own, but Rolex is inaccurate themselves. For example the Submariner41 is listed at 41mm instead of 40.5, the Daytona is listed as 40mm as opposed to the true size of 38.5mm, The DJ41 is listed as 41mm as opposed to its true size at 39.5mm. Just a few that I checked for examples. No point in using metrics like this if it doesn't help with true measurements.

Thanks to everyone for the comments, really appreciate them.
Even the objective topic of watch dimensions can be a slippery slope, especially with watch diameters which are taken for granted as claimed by the manufacturers and are parts of names of watches.

This is why I chose to focus on lug to lug primarily as here the data is mostly measured by third parties and thus more objective.

I might add a "true diameter" field in the future, this probably would be for the best.

Another point to consider is that L2L may not be representative of how a watch wears, that's why Tim's videos also provide another measurement from rigid end-link to end-link, like for example the case and bracelet of the AP Royak Oak. I find this measurement extremely useful.
