Bernie Robbins in Marlton, NJ

One of the SA’s posted on Instagram that they are becoming a Watches of Switzerland location. I have to say it’ll be nice to see some additional brands in that store.

Hopefully they get a bigger allocation now.

Bernie Robbins has been one of my AD’s for almost 20 years. Always has been great. Got som real pieces from them including three steel Daytona’s.

Another step toward WoS becoming the Rolex retail division... and not for the greater good.

Harvey getting out bigly

..7X 2021 sales or so the philly biz community whispers indicated.

Tho I'm surprised they didn't try to get Govberg in the city. The Promenade in Marlton is OK at best, seems 2nd tier to what I would thought WoS would've wanted .

Talk to some watch lovers in the UK. WOS is quickly becoming the largest Rolex dealer in the US....not a good thing.

Agree, it makes no sense. Unless they are just buying it to close it because they want the other three locations.

Either way, Govberg retail or Watchbox.com is the ONLY place I would buy from in this area. Always polite, Always friendly, and Always respectful.

They only bought Marlton. The other 3 BR locations are still owned by Harvey. Was talking to some insiders there and they don't know what's next for them (3 stores that didn't sell). He tried to sell the whole lot of them, WOS only wanted Martlon apparently.

They will buy whatever they can to give them enough inventory to feed their grey buyers. From what I have heard/read WOS is one of the biggest feeders of the grey market worldwide.

BR has already removed the Marlton store from their site. Its a fairly affluent area that has no other real regional competition except for Govberg who doesnt really offer too many major brands outside of Rolex and Patek.

I've 'registered my interest' for a 124060 about 15 months ago at BR, curious to see how this impacts things. Unfortunately, I'm starting from scratch after a relocation a couple of years ago...

Jay Robert's across the street in Marlton has everything else that BR and Govberg doesnt: Panerai, JLC, IWC, Omega, Breitling, Tag, Cartier and some smaller brands. They are the best AD for those brands.

How will this impact our purchase history at this location when it was Bernie Robbins? Will it get carried over? Start from 0? I have a relationship with one of the SAs there but not sure what it will mean for my existing interest list and chances for the watches I want. Any thoughts?

Had a 15 year purchase history with an independent AD in England - WoS bought them out - mostly the same staff, same manager, new larger location around the corner from the original store. Was basically told I would need to start 'building a relationship' from scratch.

This was a few years ago, hopefully they have changed their policy.

Sounds like there’s a bit more competition in PA. Tourneau in KoP, Govberg on the Main Line, and Bernari right down the street in Newtown Square.

Govberg in Ardmore (Suburban Square store) only sells pre-owned Rolex. I know, because I went in to inquire last winter. If you want new, the list, etc, you have to deal with the Philadelphia store.

Bernari is also in Exton, that's my AD.

Dang, really hoping that's not the case. 3 years of relationship building and $15K+ in spending going down the drain would really make me sad.

If I were a betting man, my guess would be that BR nova, Benari (maybe both locations) and precision are ALL possible to lose rolex in the few years. most likely BR nova first.

KoP Bucherer is the bit hitter here now. And govberg has the city.

If you have a prior purchase history with WOS that should be carried to the new location. Might help some people.

I hope not Bernari. My SA there in Exton, Joel, is a good guy.

I bought my SS Yachtmaster 2 from this store. First purchase with them and it was a good experience but when I reached out for another ss piece I was told to use my “other dealer” because they (other dealer) allocated me a BLRO on oyster. Sales rep knows my collection and that I have other dealer relationships before my first purchase so I was a bit suprised! All I asked for was a sub date!

AND, they actually say "Hello" to you when you walk in! I love that place, spent over 250K there last year.

I got my JLC Ultra Thin Moon from Jay Robert's a few months ago. Picked up panerais and omegas from them over the years. Been going there for at least 15 yrs. Always a joy and they have some nice pre-owned stuff to look at and treat you good both in client treatment and price.
