Step one: Hire a private investigator.
Step two: film the whole thing
Step three: Pitch it to Netflix Documentary
Step four: Buy a new Daytona with the new found fame

This post from the beginning just annoys me. This guy just joins to tell us he wants to try and recover a stolen Daytona his roommate took 40 years ago. Pal, it’s gone. You should have pursued recovering it 40 years ago. Now you see they have gone up in value and want to follow up. What a waste of a post.

Maybe he "recovers it" and this is the back story provenance for selling a fake

Well first you would need to find the serial number and post it here.

It was me. You found me Bob, goddamn it.

I did it because you always drank the last beer in the fridge.

Like all of these 1980s Atlanta institutions, however, this watch is gone forever.

This is hysterical and one of the funniest things I’ve read on TRF.

Back then the serial number was between the lugs on the case. People just filed them off if they had any question with the provenance of the watch. While title is never acquired with stolen property but remains in the rightful owner, it seems to me this ship sailed long ago.

As long as people are searching, if anybody sees a missing beanie baby from that era, let me know.

You probably don't even have the serial number. Good luck trying to do anything without it.

It’s too late in most jurisdictions to report a theft. It should have been reported when it happened. I think it’s about time you let go.

Bob, I found your Daytona! It wasn't stolen, you got drunk and gambled it away at the Friday night backroom poker game, remember?

It was your two pair, to my straight flush....you lost.....

Contact me, I want my reward!

I had a five pound note stolen from my room in 1984.
It has a portrait of Her Majesty the Queen on it.
Anyone seen it?
I don't remember the serial number.

I'd start by finding your roommate as he may have changed a bit since the 80s and could be ammenable to returning it. If he's not it would be good to have the sales slip and original packaging and warranty slip. Good luck!

Here we go again.
One and gone, never to be heard from again.
Can't for the life of me understand why members feed into these posts? Makes me feel like there are a lot of members with no common sense here, at all. BTW, I have a toll bridge priced to sell, PM me if anyone is interested.
