Which do you favor: Green ROC vs. Green RO?

With AP fans this year showing a generally stronger preference for the green dial pieces, I’m curious how the people on this forum consider the green dial ROC in comparison to the recently introduced green dial RO 15510.
More specifically, disregarding whatever APs you have in your current collection (if any), would you choose the [green] ROC or the RO, and why?

For this question, please assume that neither is a 50th Anniversary piece, both are on a metal bracelet, and that the metals are the same for each pair of models you’re comparing i.e. steel ROC v. steel RO, or rose gold ROC v. rose gold RO.

Thank you.

would choose the RO. I'm opting for the ROC because I have a black dial RO that I purchased this year and would create some redundancy.

For me it’s down to how it fits on the wrist. If I’m not mistaken the ROC is bigger lug to lug then the RO. My wrist size isn’t the biggest at 6.5cm so between the 2 I would pick the RO. The problem is that the RO dial now is too plain without the AP logo at the top. While the ROC’s dial is at least filled with the 3 sub dials. So both have its own attributes.

I would pick the green platinum 16202
In all seriousness it's a tough call. I would probably be content with either of them as I do not have any green ROs obviously. I may have a slight preferences to the 15510ST. I own a 26331st and find the contrasting subdials much more appealing then the current generation chrono dials.

I picked the green dial RO instead of ROC to put on my 50th anniversary "wishlist". But that was dependent on my current collection, which includes the grey dial 15500 and Panda 26331. After trying the 26240 a few times, I still preferred the thinner 26331, but I feel the 15510 is a slight improvement compared to the 15500. The green dial then seemed to provide at least some diversity.

In complete isolation I probably would have a slight preference for the green dial steel ROC vs steel RO, although I feel that pink gold brings the new ROC to a completely different level (more so than for the 26331 and 15500/15510).

Edit: in other words, pretty much what thekman said...

Subjectively speaking with a blantant bias, I prefer the layout of the the dial on the 26240, the 15510 dial optically looks empty and monotonous. Felt the same way about the 15500, the dial made the watch wear bigger than it was and felt cold. The green looks great on the chrono case too, if I wanted a RO case then the jumbo will always be my preference.

That makes sense. It is a bit of an unfair question because at the end of the day the preference is going to be influenced in part by what other APs (and non-APs) a person has in their collection.

Very true. I was thinking the same when initially comparing the two pieces in my mind. The difference in size and wearability will automatically dictate the preference for a number of people. However, I’ll say that even the RO at 41mm can unfortunately come across as big compared to older generations (eg 15300), but that’s a separate issue that’s out of scope here. Thanks for your points.

LOOOL, that green platinum RO is also what was immediately at the top of my mind when initially writing green RO! But we must exclude that one :)
I share your sentiment about the contrasting subdials in the previous ROC, which I can’t get out of my mind when considering how much do I like the current ROC. So this also drives my preference, although I’m not sure that’s a fair consideration since I can highlight a similar concern/issue with the 15510 not having the “AP” on the dial anymore. Interesting considerations.

15510ST - I felt like I got cheated with fewer “Grande Tapisserie” pattern on the ROC :)

Agreed, we are of similar mind regarding these considerations. But your point about the significance of the pink gold case is huge, since I strongly agree that the pink gold ROC minimizes any other little nitpicky ROC concerns! In pictures, I feel the blue dial ROC in pink gold case is much more striking than the green dial, but I haven’t seen in the metal.
Thanks for your above comments

No disagreement here. Even with the little tweaks in the recent couple of RO iterations, I do always first think “it’s a little empty; something is missing.” Alas, that is what it is. But that point does strongly influence the appeal of the ROC for me. And, especially in steel, I love the green dial. If we’re discussing the pink gold case, then the blue dial I feel is more appealing. Ultimately, I’m curious to see a wrist shot of the green 15510 once someone posts it here.
Thanks for your comments as well.
